 Verified Excellent stay in an incredible place. Superb stay at Soroi Larsens Camp. The rooms are magnificent, and we had a family suite overlooking the river. The staff is incredibly kind and responsive. The food is also very good and particularly varied. The swimming pool is a very pleasant bonus, as is the spa. The highlight is obviously the safari; we had a fantastic guide (Georges) who seemed to know every path by heart and had eagle eyes for spotting predators (leopards, cheetahs, lions). The park is very large, with relatively few other vehicles at this time of year, making the experience very exclusive.

The camp's location is amazing, with big and bright rooms/tents, shower and sinks with hot water that's not a trickle and fans that work. The deck outside the rooms could've been utilised more had it not been for the baboons and monkeys, even though the staff try their utmost to shoo them away. The food was very good especially the salads and soups. There should be better communication between the dining room team and the kitchen team as orders were confused and the same requests for basics had to made at all mealtimes. Chef Simon, David, Jackson, James, John, Matthew, Morris, Peter, Rakas, room steward, thank you for being ready to assist, friendly and knowledgeable. Elephants onsite were an incredible sight. The location on the river across which animals crossed was wonderful as was the resort ifacilities and dining..which even had an elephant as gatecrashing diner. Our deluxe suite was superb. Our three night stay was made even more special with the involvement of the humorous and knowledgeable local people who described to us the assisting return to the local people the resort was making. Absolutely stunning property! The staff were so amazingly kind and helpful! I am already planning to come back. I loved so many things: (1) the people (thank you!!!) (2) the amazing wildlife roaming around the property. I adored seeing elephants, baboons, vervets, pumbas and birds everyday!!! (3) the wake-up call… with French press. OMG thank you!! (4) the bracelet beading — gave mine as gifts yesterday!! Thanks to Jackson! (5) the amazing food! Thank you to the kitchen and chef and Peter!!!! 💕💕💕 (6) the tent cabins—rolling the covering up each morning to watch the sunrise was magical and wonderful!!! My wife and I enjoyed 3 nights in the Samburu National Reserve ar Soroi Larsens Camp which aspart of a 3 week, Eastern African Holiday. Was fantastic to enjoy the semi arid northern Kenya area. Very different to southern Kenya and northern Tanzania. The service from the camp staff and our safari guide, George, was excellent. We saw so much wildlife, Cheetah, Leopard and all the 5 species endemic to the area. Absolutely worthwhile to make this lodge part of any Kenya safari experience. We would return to this location and lodge given the opportunity.
