A very big thank you to Motabhai Harrison, Emmanuel, Shighadi, Bonface, Wilson and the rest of the team. Our stay was great. The family tent was huge by all standards and ideal for our family of four. The view of the hippos and Crocs from the balcony topped it all. And very huge thank you to Madame Chef who made our little one a green cake to celebrate her third birthday. It was a great surprise to learn that Madame chef and our little one share their birthday. An Unforgettable Stay at Soroi Mara Bush Camp – Private Wing We had a fantastic stay at Soroi Mara Bush Camp’s Private Wing, an experience that combined outstanding hospitality, wonderful food and the magic of being immersed in the African bush. A special mention goes to Joseph, the manager, for making us feel so welcome, and Posi, the barman, who added to the experience with his friendly service. The food was excellent throughout, but the real highlight was the head chef, who won my wife’s heart by personally preparing her some Ugali. Such a thoughtful gesture made our stay even more memorable! One of the most magical aspects of our stay was the location of our tent, right on the riverbank overlooking the hippo pool. Falling asleep at night to the sounds of hippos grunting and splashing in the river was an absolutely unforgettable experience — nature’s own soundtrack, and something you simply cannot replicate. The combination of the beautiful setting, attentive staff, delicious food and incredible wildlife makes this a truly special place to stay in the Maasai Mara. The four days we spent at Soroi Private Wing in the Masai Mara National Park were simply incredible. A truly magical experience. We were welcomed by Harrison and his first words were: _"Welcome home"_. And that sums up what makes them so special. It wasn't just a welcome phrase - they truly made us feel at home. The team is attentive, warm and extremely professional. They spoiled us the whole time. The accommodation is luxurious, yet with the authenticity of a real safari. Our river-facing tent had views of the hippos - simply unforgettable! A special mention to Chef Joanina with her authentic, fresh and delicious menu. For dessert, the "banana semi freddo" and the ice creams are a must! Our guide Laban was exceptional. Super knowledgeable, dedicated and he did everything to give us the best views of the wildlife. With him, we had the fantastic experience of watching a pride of lions preparing and heading out for a hunt. We lived memorable moments and created memories that will last a lifetime. A fantastic experience
What a wonderful time! We arrived at the Soroi Private Wing with a small group of dear friends, and we left feeling like our circle of friends had grown exponentially thanks to the lovely hospitality we received from the wonderful staff! The location of the camp is unbeatable, immersed as it is in the bush along the Olare Orok river with its hippos and crocs, yet so close to the Ol Kiombo Airstrip. The tents are beautifully furnished for comfort and spaced as to afford maximum privacy. The Hippo Bar and the dining outdoor and indoor areas are beautiful, and the food is consistently amazing. On top of everything, the staff is excellent, friendly, professional, always ready to go above and beyond. From our askari, to the head waiter, to the chef, and everyone else, they truly made our stay unforgettable. Johan and Elna Roos from Welkom, South Africa Our experience was incredibly positive from the moment we landed in Nairobi; everything was well organised despite late flights, and the people were friendly and helpful. At Soroi, they really looked after us and spoiled us with all sorts of special touches—like a hot water bottle in the bed and on the vehicle during early morning drives, a wake-up call every morning with fresh filter coffee, delicious meals, drinks, desserts, wine in the tents, breakfasts in the bush, sunset cocktails... too much to list. It was one long, wonderful treat from the moment we arrived. The staff couldn't do enough for us, and the manager, Harrison, kept a close eye on everything. Amazing stay and a world class resort with great food
Fantastic stay and all of it deserves a special mention. It starts with Harrison at check in and everyone knows your name. Rooms are large, well appointed and we were full board so all inclusive incl some very premium drinks (some are excluded but that was high end whiskeys). You have to pre book your lunch and diner on advance but the quality of what was served for all the meals was exceptional and would put many high quality across the globally recognized restaurants to shame. They had a fantastic camera studio run by Brian where you can rent higher energy cameras than most people would travel will together with an in house consultant to show you and give photography lessons. Great kids club to take kids on bush walks, teach them bow and arrow and a catty. Professa makes a mean G&T and Peter and service staff make sure you are look after. Viewing was out of this world form all the animals we saw. Only suggestion would be book a river front room as we were in a forest one (booked by travel agent) and you could hear the staff background noises mid afternoon but did not detract from the trip. Where do we even begin? Me and my best friend stayed at Mara Bush Camp Private Wing for 3 nights, and we sobbed when we had to leave. It was truly the most magical experience. We’ve traveled a lot, and this was by far our best stay ever. The food was the best we’ve had in Kenya and Tanzania (they also went above and beyond for my extensive food allergies and requirements). Professa’s Aperol Spritz’s are the best in the world. Our balcony faced onto a family of hippos and the room was beautiful. But it wasn’t just the surroundings that made our stay so incredible, it was the people. Everyone who works at MBC are AMAZING. The biggest thank you to Professa and Leniin especially for making our stay the best in the world and looking after us so well, and for making us laugh so much constantly. And to all of the rest of the team, Pose, Washington, Harrison, Jacqueline (for the best massages ever ever ever) and everyone else, thank you. Our best hotel experience ever
I think this is the best hotel experience me and my family have ever had. It wasn’t only the camp itself, with its beautiful tents, the hippo pool or the amazing food. The heart of this place was the people, Harrison, Peter and Peter, Profesa, Gloria, David, Bryan and Bryan, Moses, Salomon. They truly made us feel like family, we’ve been talking about it for days.
