We were fortunate to encounter leopards and lions on our game drives, and we were blown away by the magnificent, light‑pollution‑free night sky. The on‑site photo hides are ideal for wildlife photography. We are extremely grateful to the whole hotel team for arranging our special honeymoon trip, and for the generous complimentary upgrade to the stunning star‑view room. This thoughtful gesture made our stay even more memorable. The manager and our dedicated butler provided warm, attentive and impeccable service throughout our visit. Every detail was well‑taken care of. We absolutely loved our time at the lodge. It exceeded all our expectations.  Verified Best place in Samburu From the Barrett family: We came from a fantastic resort in Rwanda (Samboro Kinigi), so we had high expectations for Larsen’s Camp. I'm happy to report that our expectations were met. We were greeted by camp manager Mutinda and guide Sageeta. I'm guessing on that spelling. For the rest of our stay there, they were both very helpful. Our large luxury tent/cottage was spotless and well maintained by our housekeeper, Patricia (I think that was her name). It was full of nice wood furniture and very roomy. The meals were like fine dining every time and prepared by Chef Simon. Some of us were vegetarians in our group, and he always prepared something just for us. Our server, Kennedy, was always professional and kept us entertained. We really liked him. Finally, our safari driver, Martin, was super knowledgeable about all the plants and animals on our game drives. And, wow, was he a great driver! He got us into tight spots in between the abundant plants and trees so we could get the best views of the animals. He never tired even after 8 hours of driving. I watched the other drivers out there, day after day, and he was clearly the best. He even got us close to some mating leopards, which is a rare sight. Can't say enough about this place.
