For a different perspective, embark on a night game drive to encounter the park’s elusive nocturnal wildlife as they come to life after sunset. You can also visit a nearby Maasai village to experience authentic culture, traditions, and way of life firsthand.

Game Drives
Amboseli is one of the finest game-viewing destinations in Africa, and the reason is simple. The open plains leave nowhere to hide. Elephants move in family groups across the salt flat, lions rest in the fever tree shade, and all of it unfolds against the changing face of Kilimanjaro. Choose a morning drive to catch the light on the mountain at its best, or an evening drive when the herds gather at the swamp’s edge as the sun drops behind the summit. All game drives are performed in open 4 x 4 vehicles
Out of Africa Sunset Experience
A customized safari cruiser, transformed into a mobile bar for unforgettable sunset experiences in the wild. Outfitted with a fully stocked wooden bar, glass racks, and ambient lighting, it offers a luxurious yet rustic setting ideal for enjoying drinks and snacks after an adventurous day. Hosted by local guides who add authentic charm to the experience. Perfect for scenic toasts and storytelling under the African sky.
Private Bush Dinner
The most romantic idea (weather per-mitting) is to have a dinner for 2 under the stars. It is perfect for honeymooners or anyone who wants more than the usual privacy. A table, away from the main dining mess tent is set up surrounded by trees and bushes, lanterns are placed to add to the romantic set-up, just for you and your partner.
Your personal waiter will serve you a 4 course delicious barbecued style meal with a bottle of wine (red /white) as well as unlimited soft drinks are available with compliments of the house.
Balloon Safari
There is only one way to understand the true scale of Amboseli and that is from above it. At dawn, before the camp stirs and before the mountain loses its pink, a hot air balloon lifts you over the plains as the day begins below. Elephant herds move in slow procession across the salt flat. The swamp catches the first light. Kilimanjaro fills the entire southern sky in a way that no photograph has ever quite managed to capture.
Bush Walk
Have you ever thought of exploring the African bush on foot? Our Walking Team (accompanied by an armed ranger) will be happy to guide you through this walking safari outside the reserve. Look out for the small five, plants, learn how to identify animal tracks and differentiate the droppings of Elephant, Giraffe, Zebra and other wildlife.
Take the challenge a notch higher and identify the bones and skeletons you may come across whilst enjoying the endless panoramic view of the savanna grasslands ahead. Walks are available both in morning or afternoon. Duration is between 2-3 hours (or to your liking also shorter)
Children activities
An exciting adventure awaits the young ones with various activities conducted by our Maasai guide and our Camp Manager.
The children will have a rare opportunity to learn the Maasai way of life and their daily chores, such as cooking African food, the art of stringing real Maasai beads, playing typical board games, listening to African stories, reading children’s story books available in both English & German, as well as playing with African toys.
Parents are encouraged to discuss the activities beforehand with our Camp Manager.
Private Bush Breakfast
We are delighted to introduce our bush breakfasts. After your early morning game drive, you are taken to a scenic location, where the chef and his team await you, ready to prepare your meal – the way you like it. From freshly squeezed juices, to a full English breakfast, accompanied with homemade muffins and breads, fresh fruit platter or a breakfast parfait, you start your day with a nice hot meal.
Maasai Village Visit
Visiting a Maasai village is an essential experience to learn about their distinctive culture. You can observe the impressive jumping dance, explore their traditional homes, and take a look at the Maasai market. It’s an opportunity to support the local community and gain a greater understanding of their way of life.
Sundowner
During your afternoon/evening game drive you will discover a table & camping chairs set up at the nearby river/hippo pools. This is a private arrangement, especially for you! Choose your sun downer from a selection of spirits, house wine, beer and soft drinks. Get spoilt with homemade canapés while watching the sun go down over African plains and hippos huddle right in front of you… listen to the sounds of the night setting in.
Game Drives
Custom-built 4×4 safari vehicles are stationed at the camp and can be booked during your stay for exclusive use, with an experienced professional driver guide. All our driver guides are certified by the Kenya Professional Guides Association and are very knowledgeable in flora & fauna of the Mara.
